Getting Started

Getting Started is the path from "I just downloaded Load Tester" to "I just ran my first load test." It takes about thirty minutes if you don't get sidetracked. You install, click Record, browse a site, click Replay to verify it works, and click Run Load Test. That's the whole picture. Everything else in this manual is detail on top of that loop.

In This Section

  • Installation: Download and install on Windows or macOS. v7.0 ships with its own bundled Java 11 JRE, so there's nothing to install separately.
  • System Requirements: What hardware and OS versions Load Tester actually needs.
  • License Activation: How to activate a paid license. You don't need one to start. The Free tier records test cases, runs ASM, replays, and runs local load tests with as many virtual users as your machine can sustain.
  • Quick Start Tutorial: The thirty-minute walkthrough. Record, replay, load test, end to end, against a sample application.
  • Navigating the UI: Where the Editor, Navigator, Views, AI Assistant, and Status panel live. Worth a five-minute orientation before you start editing test cases.
  • Getting Help: Documentation, AI assistant, blog, and how to reach support when none of those covers what you're hitting.

If you're brand new, start with Installation and then jump straight to the Quick Start Tutorial. Come back for the others when you need them.
